The Powerflex Upper Gearbox Mount Insert (PFF80-1130) is designed to reinforce the factory upper gearbox mount by filling the voids in the original rubber bush. This is a common weak point on tuned petrol and diesel vehicles, where the OE rubber often deteriorates or fails under increased load.
By stiffening and supporting the existing mount, this insert helps deliver more precise gear changes, reduced drivetrain movement, and a more controlled transmission response during both acceleration and deceleration. It’s particularly effective on performance-oriented or modified vehicles where drivetrain stability is critical.
As this is a performance-focused insert, a moderate increase in NVH may be noticeable. For unmodified diesel vehicles where comfort is the priority, Powerflex recommend the PFF80-1130R variant for reduced NVH.
