The pre facelift Mk8 Fiesta ST has a particularly weak torque mount from factory, leading to many owners switching them out for an aftermarket alternative to reduce the amount of engine movement, however this then adds a tonne of vibration throughout the cabin from the 3 cylinder engine.
The later facelift Mk8.5 ST and Puma ST have a revised stronger mount which offers 90% of the benefits of an aftermarket mount, with none of the downsides. It even includes a replacement bracket for ease of install with just 4 bolts needing to be removed.
