During hard acceleration, deceleration and cornering the oil in your engine sump is affected causing the “Windage” phenomenon as it sloshes around. This can intermittently starve the motor of the oil it needs to remain functional, causing catastrophic failure. For the relatively small cost of the part, installing one of these baffles can prevent this and save you from an expensive rebuild.
